Here's a new approach to covering a decoy.
Over the past 30 years I’ve witnessed almost every facet of decoy making and attended hundreds of shows. I’ve seen just about every method or technique imaginable. Let’s face it: In this day and age, there’s really not much room for innovation. For the most part, if there’s something to try, it’s been done. So when Rob James told me he had developed a technique, as he put it, “to take canvas decoys to a whole other level,” he really piqued my interest. Rob had ideas about ways to better define the tails, raise primary feather groups, and clearly define distinguishable side pockets. I had never seen a canvas covered decoy with any of those features, so I wanted to learn more.
