Color Theory Rocks
Color Theory Rocks offers a five-week, online, Practical Color Theory and Mixing Course built and taught by Lori Corbett, author of “Carving Award-Winning Songbirds”. For many carvers, the most feared and frustrating aspect is color mixing. This course will give you the knowledge and confidence to make informed choices for mixing. It teaches the how and why of choosing certain colors, the various properties of pigments that make up our paints, and demonstrates how to mix colors using these properties to your advantage.
The course targets mainly beginning to intermediate level carvers, and will take you beyond seminar color mixing formulas. The idea for this course came from both teaching and attending seminars; there simply isn’t enough time to go into the specifics of why certain colors were used in mixes, due to the time constraints of seminars. I saw a niche, decided to fill it, and this course was born.
